Healthy Super Savoury Flapjacks
 

These tasty and nutritious savoury flapjacks make for an ideal snack or lunchbox extra, are easy and quick to make, and can be adapted to add your own ingredients to

To make a batch of super tasty savoury flapjacks, you will need

 

  • 1 and a half cups of rolled oats

  • 2 large carrots

  • three quarters of a cup of grated cheese

  • one third of a cup of soft cheese

  • one large egg

  • mixed herbs

  • and black pepper

 

first, wash , peel and grate the carrots

 

add one and a half cups of rolled oats to a mixing bowl

 

add two cups of the grated carrot

 

add one half cup and one quarter cup of grated cheese

 

add a third of a cup of the soft cheese

 

then add one egg

 

sprinkle a pinch of mixed herbs

 

finally add a couple of grinds of black pepper

 

mix all these in the bowl until the mixture has thoroughly mixed together

 

lightly grease a baking tray with marge or butter

 

line the baking tray with greaseproof paper

 

pour the mixture into the tray

 

and pat down with a spoon

 

if needed, dot with butter or marge

 

place in pre heated oven for 25 minutes at 180 degrees or gas mark 4

 

After 25 minutes, carefully remove from the oven and allow to cool

 

before removing the greaseproof and the flapjacks and slicing with a sharp knife or pizza cutter

 

These flapjacks are ideal as a tasty snack or lunchbox treat
